Poster advertises a brochure that purports to outline Germany's return to prewar riches. It was not to be. When this poster was printed in the 1920s, Germany's economy had completely broken down after years of war that bankrupted the country. In addition to this disaster, reparations demands by the Allies compounded the damage and led to hyperinflation that destroyed the middle class which had until then acted as a brake on political extremeists. The National Socialists would soon divide the nation and lead to Hitler's popularity and subsequent rise to power and oppression inside Germany and its conquered neighbors as well. 28x38 mint, conservation backed.
