At the end of the war an unknown artist designed a sweeping seascape to underline the importance of the French colonies to the economy.  A four stack French ocean liner is pictured gliding into a bustling North African port where powerful tugs await their opportunity to nuge its enormous bulk into its assigned berth. This postwar bond poster pictures an exotic part of the French empire in order to inspire Frenchmen to invest in the rebuilding and future of France after World War I heavily damaged its economy and finances. The arrival of this luxury liner is quite an event for the locals who are seen waving to the passengers in the foreground. The business and trade that this ship will provide will benefit  the local population as well as the French. 30x40 excellent condition, conservation backing.
